3 -Gun Shoot

Sunday, April 2, will be the first 3 gun shoot of the season at the Mid Nebraska Rifle and Pistol Club! There will be 3 or 4 stages, and you'll have an opportunity to exercise your skills with a rifle, handgun, and shotgun. Plan to bring 60 round of handgun ammo, 30 rifle, and at 40 shotgun shells (dove loads are great- no slugs or steel shot). The shooting starts at 1 PM; plan to be there early to register. Registration fee is $10 per person.
Targets will consist of clays (stationary and moving), reactive steel, wood, foam, and paper. You will be running against the clock, but the competition is very low-key and friendly. The only prizes are bragging rights and a pocket full of empty brass.
Eye and ear protection are required to shoot this course. All ages and skill levels are welcome, as long as the competitor can follow instructions and handle his or her firearms safely. Centerfire rifles and handguns are preferred, as .22s won't always take down steel targets.
In addition to using your own 3 firearms, you may have the opportunity to work with some tools that are not common to multi-gun matches. Those will be provided for your use. We also plan to have a special shotgun event after the regular stages. If you'd like to participate in that it would be wise to pack a few extra boxes of shells.
The range is located 8 miles southeast of Broken Bow. Cell service is poor at the range, so if you need directions please contact me in advance. In case of cancellation due to inclement weather I will send an email no later than the morning of the event.
