Congrats to the winners! A BIG Thank you to all of the shooters last Sunday. You are all tougher than those weenies in the Lincoln area that cancel shoots because it rained the day before!
A big THANK YOU to the people that set up and ran the pin shoot in the rain. And thank God for stainless pistols and Gor-Tex.

I am the "weenie" that cancelled the glock match in Lincoln, because due to the range conditions with all the rain, we could not drive a vehicle onto the range without causing all sorts of damage to the range. I guess I am a weenie for not wanting to hand carry a plate rack and three pepper poppers 200 yards down range at 6am in the mud, with a 50-60% chance of more thunderstorms by 10am. (Of course then it turns out to be a beautiful day).
ReplyDeleteSorry you guys drove all the way out, and didn't get to shoot.... But I had to make that call, and for the sake of the range I made the right call. Not the popular call, but the right call. I sure hated to miss the match myself as it was to be my practice for GI this weekend. Oh well.
Happy shooting
Hey cmz, don't get your brass tarnished- nobody can predict the weather! JV's not really busting your chops, just messing with you.
ReplyDeleteIF it ever happens again, and IF the setup is condusive, and IF I were the director of the match, I'd consider grabbing the idle shooters just itching to do something and have them pack the targets across the mud. 'Many hands make light work.' Don't try to do it all yourself; you'll burn out.
Good luck next month. Wish I could attend.
